The prosecutor has charged the 20-year-old woman with "killing a close relative" and has ordered her detention for 15 days at the Women’s Rehabilitation and Correction Center pending further investigation.

A source close to the investigation revealed to "Roya" that the altercation stemmed from the woman's frustration over her father’s refusal to let her leave the house to join her mother, who had recently left the family’s home.

According to the source, the 44-year-old victim had separated from his wife just half an hour before the incident due to previous family disagreements.

The source added that the woman took a kitchen knife and stabbed her father once in the chest. Neighbors alerted the Civil Defense, and the victim was transported to Prince Faisal Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

An autopsy was conducted by forensic pathologists Ibrahim Obaidat, Azzam Al-Kurki, and Alaa Al-Yasouri in the forensic department in Zarqa, in the presence of the Al-Russeifa prosecutor. The autopsy revealed that the stab wound had struck the heart and major veins, leading to severe bleeding and a blood accumulation in the chest.
