Following royal directives, the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) participated on Wednesday in combating wildfires in Greece, which have been exacerbated by extreme heat – a statement by the JAF said today.

Two air tractor planes were dispatched along with an MI-26 helicopter from the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF), equipped with specialized crews to aid in firefighting efforts across the country.

The Jordanian Armed Forces regularly contribute to providing necessary assistance to partner countries affected by natural disasters as part of their humanitarian efforts – the statement added.
