The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) reported that on Thursday, fire and rescue teams from the East Amman Civil Defense Department responded to a fire in an apartment on the ground floor of a four-story building in the Al-Manara area.

The fire resulted in four people experiencing respiratory distress due to inhaling smoke.

The statement said: “With high professionalism and efficiency in emergency medical services, specialized paramedics successfully performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on three children who had lost vital signs.”

The firefighting teams worked to extinguish and fully control the blaze, while the paramedics provided initial treatment to the injured and transported them to Al-Bashir Governmental Hospital for further care.

The spokesperson also mentioned that an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
