Roya obtained new information regarding the case of a man in his thirties who was shot and killed near Al-Hussein Gardens in the capital, Amman. The victim was struck by two bullets fired from within a vehicle.

The Public Prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court has ordered the detention of six individuals, including a woman in her twenties, following a 10-hour investigation into the incident. The victim, who was walking near Al-Hussein Gardens, was shot by the main suspect from a moving vehicle.

The crime, which occurred on Sunday evening in a public street, was witnessed by several individuals, including a traffic officer. The officer was able to pinpoint the location of the vehicle and the identity of the suspect, leading to the arrest of the main perpetrator in the Khalda area with the help of the Criminal Investigation Department.

Additionally, the woman and two others were apprehended in Irbid after coordination with the Irbid Police Directorate, which managed to track their location following their escape from the crime scene.

The Public Prosecutor has charged the primary suspect with premeditated murder, while the other five individuals, including the woman, face charges of complicity in premeditated murder. All six suspects have been detained for 15 days, subject to renewal, in reform and rehabilitation centers.

Sources close to the investigation revealed that the victim and the perpetrator had a longstanding friendship, along with the other detainees. The detained woman also had a friendship with all involved parties.

It was reported that disputes and animosities arose between the perpetrator and the victim due to the woman passing on conversations between them. Several complaints were lodged with the police, but these were resolved at the time.

The source indicated that the perpetrator decided to end the ongoing conflicts by killing the victim. He tracked the victim’s movements in a public street and shot him with a pistol before fleeing the scene.

The source confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing, with the Public Prosecutor expected to hear testimonies from additional witnesses and review forensic and criminal laboratory reports.

The victim's body was autopsied at the Forensic Medicine Center at the University of Jordan, revealing that two bullets had penetrated his heart, aorta, and lungs, leading to his death.
