A recent poll released by the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv revealed that only 17 percent place high trust in their government, and only 26 trust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Almost half expressed desire for their government to launch a large-scale operation against Hezbollah in the north which could ignite a regional war, the poll’s numbers found.

Sixty-one percent of “Israelis” believe the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) will win in Gaza.

In contrast, less than half (44.5 percent), believe “Israel’s” goals in the Strip will be achieved completely or largely.

Contrary to the low trust level in Netanyahu, 45 percent of “Israelis” have a high degree of trust in the IOF’s Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi.

Furthermore, only 47 percent say that “Israel should obey international law and maintain ethical values in war” while 39.5 say they should not.
