The Jordanian Field Hospital Gaza/79 conducted a surgical operation on Sunday to stabilize a femur fracture for a patient as part of its ongoing efforts to provide medical, therapeutic, and humanitarian care to the people of Gaza.

The hospital's commander stated that a specialized team of orthopedic surgeons and anesthesiologists from the Jordanian Field Hospital Gaza/79 carried out the procedure.

He added that the hospital has treated 6,127 cases this month alone, including more than 80 major and minor surgeries, in addition to dealing with numerous war injuries.

An orthopedic surgeon explained that the patient had been suffering from an unhealed fracture in his right femur for six months and had severe stiffness in the knee joint, which rendered him unable to move or walk. The complex surgery involved the placement of a metal plate and a procedure to restore joint movement (MUA) at the Jordanian Field Hospital.

The patient's family expressed their deep gratitude to His Majesty King Abdullah II and praised the humanitarian efforts of the Jordanian Field Hospital staff, represented by the Jordanian Armed Forces, in alleviating the effects of the war on the civilian population in Gaza.

Since the beginning of the conflict on October 7th last year, the Jordanian Field Hospital in Gaza has treated 54,970 patients. The total number of patients treated since the hospital began its mission in 2009 has now exceeded 3.5 million.
