Samir Jaber, the father of Mohammad Jaber, known as Abu Shuja, the slain leader of the Tulkarm Battalion, has vowed that his son's death will not halt the fight against the occupation.

He asserted that young fighters will continue the resistance efforts until the land is liberated.

In a press statement, Jaber revealed that Israeli Occupation Forces had attempted to assassinate Abu Shuja multiple times in the past without success, before ultimately succumbing to betrayal during a recent raid on the Ein Shams camp.

The Islamic Jihad Movement has confirmed the death of Abu Shuja and several members of his battalion in the Tulkarm refugee camp, located in the northern occupied West Bank. The movement praised Abu Shuja for his bravery and resilience, highlighting his steadfast resistance against the occupation, despite the high costs involved.

The Islamic Jihad Movement described Abu Shuja as a courageous fighter who faced the occupation with valor alongside his comrades, understanding that resisting the enemy, no matter the cost, is preferable to living under a criminal occupation.

The movement's statement on Thursday emphasized that Abu Shuja and his comrades engaged in heroic confrontations with Israeli Occupation Forces, who deployed dozens of soldiers, armored vehicles, and drones to target them in the heart of the Tulkarm camp.

Islamic Jihad stated that Abu Shuja’s death, following previous assassination and arrest attempts, will remain a beacon of resistance and will strengthen the Palestinian people’s resolve to continue their struggle.
