A dispute between a father in his fifties and his thirty-year-old daughter escalated into a tragic incident when the father shot her four times in the head and abdomen on a street in Marj Al-Hammam. He left his daughter bleeding on the ground until he was apprehended.

The prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court has charged the suspect with murder and ordered his detention for 15 days, pending further investigation.

A source close to the investigation told Roya that the father, who was divorced, regularly visited his ex-wife’s home where the victim lived. These visits often led to family disputes.

The source explained that during the argument, the father and daughter raised their voices, leading the daughter to leave the house and head towards the street. The father followed her and fired four shots from an unlicensed pistol he had concealed in his clothing.

The forensic examination conducted by a medical committee at the National Center for Forensic Medicine revealed that the 35-year-old victim was struck by four bullets—two of which hit her head, causing severe brain damage.

The other two bullets struck her abdomen, with one lodging inside, leading to extensive internal injuries and severe bleeding that resulted in her immediate death.
