Gaza ceasefire negotiations between “Israel” and hamas are “heading toward collapse” – says a source from Hamas to the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Mayadeen news stations.

They added that the recent mediated meetings in Qatar failed to lead a breakthrough over “Israel’s” requirement of maintaining control of the Philadelphi corridor on the Gaza border with Egypt.

One more contested provision in the negotiations is “Israel” insisting on naming the identities of 65 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences to be released as part of the deal.

“The negotiations are heading towards collapse because of Israel’s rejection to respond to mediators’ proposals to take care of current issues,” says the source, who adds that Egypt, Qatar and the US are “frustrated” with “Israel’s” demands.
