An Iranian athlete has refused to compete against “Israeli” taekwondo fighter Adnan Milad at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.

Saeid Sadeghianpour was a no-show against Milad in the men’s under-63kg, which automatically handed the latter the win and the chance to win the bronze medal match which will take place later tonight.

Legally, Iranian athlete Sadeghianpour is required to not compete against “Israelis” in international competitions, as Iran forbids to do so.
