The number of Jordanian convoys dispatched to Gaza has reached 100 since the start of the land convoys, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) announced today, Sunday.

These 100 convoys, sent over the past few months by the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, comprised around 3,374 trucks.

The convoys, sent to support the people of Gaza who are living under difficult conditions, carried relief, food, medical, and health supplies, in addition to many other essentials needed by the region.

The 100th convoy, which arrived in Gaza today, was organized in cooperation with the World Food Programme (WFP) and included food parcels, flour, various canned goods, baby formula, and assorted relief supplies, along with medicines and intravenous fluids – according to the JHCO’s statement.

These supplies will be distributed to Gazans through partner associations and organizations in the area.

Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, the JHCO’s secretary-general, stated that Jordan’s role in providing relief to Gaza is vital, effective, and crucial for ensuring the delivery and entry of aid, with all sectors and institutions collaborating to carry out Jordan's extensive humanitarian efforts.

He explained that the organization’s role encompasses several aspects, including coordinating with official bodies operating within Gaza to create needs lists, considering the purchase of essential goods, and networking with organizations to secure additional donations directly for meeting needs and implementing relief programs and projects.

Al-Shibli highlighted that the organization works closely with the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) to deliver and introduce aid into Gaza, and to sign agreements with associations and organizations within the Gaza Strip to ensure the distribution of aid to the people.
