What will weather in Jordan be like this week?

Starting Monday and continuing through the first week of September, Jordan will experience a slight increase in temperatures, bringing them to near or slightly below average for this time of year, according to ArabiaWeather.

The country is expected to witness mild summer conditions with low clouds appearing, particularly during the morning hours.

Additionally, the northwesterly winds are expected to pick up daily during the afternoon and evening, with gusts exceeding 50 km/h. These strong winds may cause dust and sandstorms, especially in desert and open areas in eastern Jordan. At the same time, the active winds combined with cloud cover will help maintain moderate temperatures, particularly over mountainous and western regions.

Evenings and early nights are expected to be pleasant, gradually becoming cooler, especially in the mountainous and eastern plains regions. In southern Jordan, particularly in the Sharah Mountains, temperatures may drop to around 13°C, while in other parts of the country, including Amman, lows will range between 16-21°C.

Humidity levels will noticeably rise at night, with increased cloud cover and potential fog formation over some mountain peaks, especially in northern Jordan. It is recommended to wear a light jacket during the late-night and early-morning hours due to the expected cooler temperatures.
