Hebrew Channel 14 reported gunfire targeting an Israeli Occupation military site near the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, southern West Bank.

On Monday, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) closed the Ibrahimi Mosque to worshippers, citing Jewish holidays as the reason. The closure is part of Israeli Occupation’s policy of spatial and temporal division, which has permanently seized about 36 percent of the mosque's area.

The Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs stated that the closure occurs annually for 10 days due to Jewish holidays, depriving Palestinians of their right to worship and violating the sanctity of the mosque. The ministry condemned this as a provocative attack on Muslims’ right to access their places of worship freely and safely.

Additionally, Israeli Occupation authorities banned the call to prayer at the Ibrahimi Mosque 43 times in July, as part of their ongoing efforts to impose temporal and spatial division on the site.

On July 11, IOF also covered the open section of the mosque’s courtyard, which serves as the only open space and prayer area.
