His Majesty King Abdullah II, in a call today with Japan Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, warned of the repercussions of the continued “Israeli” attacks in the West Bank on regional stability and security – a statement by the Royal Hashemite Court (RHC).

His Majesty reiterated the need to intensify efforts to achieve an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza and to increase humanitarian aid to the region.

King Abdullah emphasized Jordan's firm rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza.

His Majesty also expressed appreciation for Japan's continued support of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), enabling it to fulfill its UN mandate.

The King underscored the importance of working towards a political horizon that can achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

The call also touched on the strong Jordanian-Japanese friendship, with His Majesty expressing pride in the 70-year history of bilateral relations and gratitude for Japan's support, particularly in developmental fields.
