Israeli Occupation National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has called for an immediate halt to negotiations with Hamas, advocating for stricter measures against the group.

In a post on the social media platform X, Ben-Gvir stated, "A nation that loses six hostages in cold blood does not negotiate with murderers. It stops the negotiations, ceases supplying them with fuel and electricity, and crushes them until they surrender."

Ben-Gvir argued that continuing talks with Hamas only encourages the group to escalate what he described as acts of terrorism, including from the West Bank.

In a related development, the European Union is considering sanctions against Israeli Occupation ministers, including Ben-Gvir, due to their hardline positions and controversial statements. EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell is reportedly leading this initiative in response to what he views as "unacceptable hate speech against Palestinians" by members of Israeli Occupation's far-right government, including Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Ben-Gvir.

EU spokesperson Peter Stano expressed concern over Israeli Occupation's large-scale military operations in the West Bank, warning that they pose significant risks of escalation that could destabilize both the region and local communities. He emphasized that while Israeli Occupation's security concerns are valid, they do not justify the extensive damage to civilian infrastructure in the West Bank, such as roads, electrical and water networks, and sewage systems.
