The Palestinian Civil Defence (PCD) disclosed on Friday the extensive damage inflicted on Jenin and its surrounding areas during a recent Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) operation.

For approximately 10 days, the IOF caused significant destruction, impacting around 25km of streets and neighborhoods within Jenin and its camp, Middle East Monitor reported.

The PCD's preliminary damage assessment revealed that IOF operations resulted in the complete destruction of vital infrastructure, including street networks, water systems, electricity grids, and sewage lines.

“The extent of the destruction encompasses more than 25km of urban and camp areas,” the PCD stated.

Reconstruction efforts have begun with the support of partner organizations. However, a thorough evaluation of the total damage remains incomplete.

The Civil Defence noted that in addition to the destruction of infrastructure, numerous homes, businesses, and other properties were also severely impacted.
