An “Israeli” settler blocked students from reaching Bedouin Ka'abneh School in Al-Auja area near the city of Jericho on Monday morning.

Local sources reported that the armed settler from the Zohar colonial outpost obstructed the road as students were heading to their school at the start of the academic year, causing significant panic and fear.

The Israeli Occupation Forces are also impeding access to Cordoba School on Al-Shuhada Street in Hebron on the first day of the school year, forcing students and staff to use agricultural paths.

The 2024/2025 academic year officially began on Monday in schools across the West Bank.

In the West Bank, including Jerusalem, the school year started in 2,459 public, private, and UNRWA schools, with over 806,360 students and 51,447 teachers.

As for Gaza, since October 7, students have been unable to attend school due to continuous bombardment, which has targeted entire neighborhoods and residential areas.
