Earlier, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) spokesperson, Mohammad Khair Rawashdeh, confirmed the opening of a legal investigation regarding unstamped and unsigned ballots found in a street in Ma’an, calling it an “electoral crime.”

Tuesday’s election marks the selection of members for Jordan’s 20th House of Representatives. Over 1,600 candidates are running, with 172 local lists and 25 national party lists.

The IEC is responsible for overseeing all stages of the election, while the executive authority provides logistical and security support to ensure a smooth process.
