The General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army stated that the Jordanian Eastern Command, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotics from Syrian territory into Jordan on Thursday.

The statement added that after intensified search and inspection operations in the area, a large quantity of narcotics was seized and handed over to the relevant authorities.

The Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) will continue to leverage their full capabilities to decisively prevent all forms of smuggling and infiltration, in order to maintain the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan – the statement said.
