Finance Ministry reports budget deficit of JD 1,024.3 million after aid

The Finance Ministry announced that the general budget has recorded a financial deficit of JD 1,024.3 million after aid.

In a statement, the Ministry attributed this deficit to the local revenues and total expenditures of the central government/budget for the first seven months of the year.

Local revenues reached JD 5,327.5 million during the first seven months of 2024, marking an increase of JD 57.9 million compared to the same period last year, covering 91.1 percent of current expenditures.

Regarding public spending, total expenditures for the central government/budget during the first seven months of 2024 amounted to JD 6,393.8 million, compared to JD 6,153.5 million in the same period last year.
