Jordan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi called Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati today to offer Jordan’s assistance following the recent mass explosion in Lebanon.

During the call, Safadi conveyed King Abdullah II's directive to provide any necessary medical support to help the thousands of Lebanese citizens injured in the blast.

Safadi reaffirmed Jordan's commitment to Lebanon's security, sovereignty, and stability, and expressed solidarity with the Lebanese people.

He called for an immediate halt to the escalating violence in the region, including the Israeli aggression on Gaza and rising tensions in the West Bank, and stressed the importance of adhering to UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

He condemned any actions threatening Lebanon’s stability and the safety of its citizens.

Prime Minister Mikati thanked King Abdullah II for his support and expressed Lebanon's appreciation for Jordan's consistent stance in backing the Lebanese people and ensuring Lebanon's security and stability.
