Wael Saqqa, Secretary-General of the Islamic Action Front (IAF), stated that the party participated in the political modernization meetings with a spirit of positivity and effective contribution.

He noted that the party engaged in multiple rounds of discussions during these meetings, ultimately accepting their outcomes except for the constitutional amendments related to party and election laws.

During his appearance on Nabd Al-Balad on Roya TV, Saqqa explained that the party’s meeting with the designated Prime Minister, Jafar Hassan, was part of the political update process.

However, he clarified that the party had not discussed the names of potential government members with him prior to the government’s formation.

Saqqa emphasized that the discussion with the Prime Minister was not about the government formation itself but was intended to open a dialogue with political parties and parliamentary blocs, in line with His Majesty the King’s directives outlined in the Royal Decree.

He stressed the importance of transparent and candid dialogue to achieve political progress.

He also pointed out that the IAF had no intention of participating in the current government.

Saqqa highlighted the party's role in Jordanian political life for over 30 years, including its support for national issues such as the Palestinian cause and confronting external threats from the far-right in the Israeli Occupation.

Saqqa reiterated the necessity of political dialogue and welcomed any positive discussions that contribute to advancing the political process in Jordan.

He emphasized the party’s approach of evaluating political performance and holding individuals accountable based on their performance, stating, "We hold the good-doer accountable for their good and the wrongdoer for their wrong."

He discussed the party’s "Islamic Action Front Plan for Jordan 2020-2030," which was prepared before the Royal Committee to Modernise the Political System meetings and before the government presented its economic and administrative programs.

Saqqa revealed that the party had developed a strategic study for national economic development from 2015-2020, consisting of 800 pages and including programs and projects to reform the Jordanian economy.

The study, created by 300 experts both within and outside the party, covered the period from 1970 to 2020.

The recent study offers practical solutions to gradually eliminate unemployment and public debt, reduce poverty, and improve the education and health sectors.

Despite presenting the study to all official entities, it has not yet been seriously discussed.

Saqqa also noted that the party had prepared a training package for its members and deputies, consisting of 17 key points to serve as a reference for future political work.

In response, political analyst Omar Kallab remarked that the designated Prime Minister Jafar Hassan is well-acquainted with the political update scene in Jordan.

Kallab emphasized that dialogue with parliamentary political parties is a positive step, underscoring the importance of mutual and constructive dialogue to achieve shared goals in the coming phase.
