The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced today the deaths of four soldiers and the injury of several others during battles with the Palestinian resistance in the southern Gaza Strip.

Among the killed was Staff Sergeant Agman Naim, the first female “Israeli” soldier to have been killed during the ground invasion of the Gaza Strip.

According to an initial probe by the IOF, the four were neutralized after entering a booby-trapped building in the Tel Sultan neighborhood in Rafah.

The statement did not elaborate further.

Three other soldiers were seriously wounded in the same incident, and two were moderately wounded – the statement added.

This brings the death toll of “Israeli” troops in the ground invasion of the Gaza Strip – ongoing since Oct. 27, 2023 – to 348.

Last week, the IOF claimed that the Rafah Brigade of the military wing of Hamas has been destroyed after seizing complete operational control over the entire urban area.

Brigadier General Itzik Cohen told reporters last week that at least 2,308 fighters have been killed by the IOF, further claiming that over 13 kilometers of tunnels have been destroyed.

“The Rafah Brigade has been defeated…Their four battalions have been destroyed, and we have completed operational control over the entire urban area,” Cohen said at the time.
