His Majesty King Abdullah II departed on Wednesday to the United States of America, to participate in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly.

His Majesty will deliver a speech at the opening session of the 79th session of the Assembly, which begins on the 24th of this month in New York.

On the sidelines, His Majesty will hold meetings with heads of state and heads of participating delegations.

His Majesty will meet, in the state of Maryland, with the state's governor, Wes Moore, in addition to a group of CEOs and representatives of a number of American companies and universities.

His Majesty will be accompanied on the visit by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and His Royal Highness Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II was sworn in as Regent, in the presence of the Cabinet.
