A Roya correspondent in Lebanon reported on Friday that the Israeli Occupation conducted an airstrike on a building in the Rweiss area of southern Beirut.

The strike was carried out by an F35 aircraft belonging to the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF).

Initial reports suggest that a senior Hezbollah official may have been assassinated in the attack.

The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) indicated that five people, including children, were killed in the initial toll resulting from the strike on the building.

The IOF confirmed that it executed a precision strike in the Beirut area, while “Israeli” Channel 12 noted that the target was a "very senior" Hezbollah official.

Hebrew media identified the target of the airstrike as Ibrahim Aqil, the commander of Hezbollah's special operations unit.
