A three-year-old boy drowned on Saturday in a swimming pool at a private resort in Wadi Al-Rayyan, located in the town of Judayta in the Koura District of Irbid Governorate.

Dr. Mohammad Abu Halawa, director of Princess Raya Hospital in Deir Abi Saeed, said the boy was rushed to the hospital by Civil Defense personnel after being pulled from the water. Despite resuscitation efforts, he was pronounced dead before arriving at the hospital.

Abu Halawa added that the child’s body has been transferred to the North Region Forensic Medicine Center for an autopsy, according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra).
