The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) revealed details about a murder that took place at a farm in Karak Governorate two months ago.

The body of a man was discovered about two months ago on a farm in Faqqu' in Karak, according to the PSD.

An investigation revealed that he had been shot and killed by an unknown assailant.

The spokesperson noted that a criminal investigation team from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Karak Police took over the case.

After nearly two months of investigation and information gathering, they identified a suspect who was arrested.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to shooting the victim during a prior dispute and to hiding the murder weapon.

The spokesperson also mentioned that the firearm was recovered and sent to the forensic laboratories, where it was confirmed to be the weapon used in the murder.

The case has been referred to the Prosecutor General of the Grand Criminal Court, who ordered the suspect to be detained for 15 days on the charge of premeditated murder.
