Jordan's Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, stated on Friday that Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sabotaged a prisoner deal and launched the war in Lebanon.

During joint statements with members of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee, tasked with international efforts to halt the war on Gaza, Safadi warned of worsening conditions unless Israeli Occupation is held accountable.

He spoke on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly’s 79th session in New York, saying, "We warned of this moment, and things will only get worse. If the Israeli government is not confronted with consequences, the war will affect us all."

Safadi emphasized that the real threat to the region lies in Israeli Occupation's policies and the international community's failure to enforce international law.

He also warned of the ongoing escalation in Lebanon and the West Bank, noting that "Israel’s government only understands the language of war."

Safadi further stressed that the entire region is at risk of a broader conflict if Israeli Occupation's aggression continues unchecked, adding that the current "Israeli" government's hostile policies pose a significant danger to the region's future.

"Netanyahu seeks a regional war, and today we face serious risks. This must stop," Safadi concluded.
