'Israeli' army announced that its warplanes dropped 85 bunker-buster bombs, weighing a total of one ton of explosives, in an effort to assassinate Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah.

The military indicated it is prepared for a broader escalation, with forces on high alert.

On Saturday, the 'Israeli' army officially confirmed the assassination of Nasrallah along with several other Hezbollah leaders, including Ali Korki.

Hezbollah, however, neither confirmed nor denied such statements.

In a statement, the army claimed, "Our air force conducted precise strikes on the central headquarters of Hezbollah, located underground beneath a residential building in the southern suburbs."

They added that the strike was executed while Hezbollah's leadership was coordinating activities against settlers from within the targeted location.

The situation continues to evolve as tensions remain high in the region.
