Reports suggest that "Israel" urged Washington to take steps to deter Iran from retaliating for Nasrallah’s killing.

Some officials expressed concern that Friday’s strike could push Tehran toward escalation.

Officials criticized the assassination as poorly planned, frustrated that "Israel" carried out the operation without consulting the US, only to later seek help in managing the fallout with Iran.

According to Axios, citing US and "Israeli" officials, the Biden administration supports the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, despite frustrations over "Israel's" lack of transparency in military operations.

Sources confirmed that "Israel" informed US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, intelligence officials, and CENTCOM during the operation, raising strategic concerns about how the situation will be managed moving forward.
