Mustafa Barghouti, Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative, stated that the Palestinian leadership is under the illusion that the United States is a mediator in the conflict, while the reality shows otherwise.

In remarks at the "Future of Media and Communication Forum 2" that took place today, Barghouti emphasized that ‘Israel’ does not believe in a two-state solution, making it nothing more than an illusion at present.

The forum brought together journalists, content creators, social media platforms, unions, and international media and human rights organizations, and was organized by the Center For Defending Freedom of Journalists (CDFJ).

Barghouti added that ‘Israel’ occupies the land of two Arab nations and is planning a ground invasion of Lebanon, while also conspiring against Egypt and aiming to make Jordan an alternative homeland.

He further highlighted the complete collapse of human rights due to the Israeli Occupation’s aggression against the Palestinian people, and the division within the Arab world between those opposing Israeli occupation and others pursuing normalization.

Barghouti concluded by expressing gratitude to Jordan and its people for their unwavering support of the Palestinian cause.

Other Key speakers included Palestinian Ambassador to the UK Husam Zomlot and Egyptian politician Hamdeen Sabahi, Secretary-General of the Arab National Congress.

During his address, Sabahi stated that all Palestinian national liberation movements, especially Hamas, have shaken the enemy.

He emphasized that Egypt ‘remains a target of the Zionist enemy,’ unaffected by peace agreements like Camp David, and stressed that the Palestinian people are facing an existential, not territorial, conflict.

He also noted that the Arab people have been denied the right to fully express their support for the resistance due to political oppression.
