The UK Defence Attaché to Jordan Will Davies confirmed that Jordan is the ideal place to understand strategic issues including political, economic, security, trade and industry issues.

Therefore, the Royal College of Defense Studies chose it as a main stop in a tour carried out by 19 officers of this prestigious college, which was established in 1927.

Davies told Roya that, during their three-week tour, its members took many excellent strategic lessons and learned how to address strategic challenges at a local, regional and international level.

The delegation listened to a briefing from the head of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Nayef Al-Fayez on the region's strategic and geopolitical specificity.

They also visited several vital facilities in the coastal city, the most notable of which were the Aqaba Container Terminal and the Aqaba University of Technology.

In addition to Jordan, the current tour included visits to Palestinian territories and Oman, as part of the study and educational tours program abroad.

Jordan previously received delegations from the Royal College of Defense Studies in 2016 and 2018.

This college aims to create a better understanding of the strategic challenges facing the world in the twenty-first century by visiting various countries of the world as its members are specialists in the field of security to achieve positive strategic successes for the countries of the region and eventually for the world.
