Once again, His Majesty stresses need not to be complacent, abide by safety measures

His Majesty King Abdullah II Tuesday met personalities from several governorates, as part of His Majesty's constant keenness to communicate with the nation's people, pointing out that the battle against the coronavirus has not ended yet, while stressing the need to not be complacent, and to continue adhering to safety measures to ensure that the plan to reopen sectors safely will proceed.

His Majesty affirmed that Jordan will continue, in its second centenary, administrative reform efforts, in addition to economic, political and social development, stressing the importance of coordination between the various stakeholders to work on developing the agricultural sector in the regions of the Kingdom.

In turn, Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh pointed out that there has been agreement between the government and the House of Notables and Representatives to communicate with various political forces, parties and civil society institutions, with the aim of developing and improving the laws that regulate political life, in implementation of royal directives.

Khasawneh stressed the need to continue developing the work of the administrative sector, to improve performance and address some of the deficiencies that affected it.

In turn, he drew the attendees to the importance and comprehensiveness of the contents of His Majesty's interview with the Petra News Agency, as it carried a number of royal visions and directives for development in various sectors, especially administrative reform and laws governing political life.

They indicated the need to build on the achievements of the Jordanian state, pointing to the importance of attracting investments to provide job opportunities, establishing and supporting agricultural projects to serve farmers and youth, in addition to studying the reopening of the tourism sector if the pandemic circumstance permits, due to its economic importance.

The meeting was attended by the Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, a number of His Majesty's advisors, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
