His Majesty King Abdullah II, in a call with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Sunday, condemned the provocative Israeli Occupation confrontations in Al-Aqsa Mosque, which contravene international law and violate human rights, according to a Royal Hashemite Court post on Twitter.

His Majesty affirmed the importance of continuous coordination between Arab brothers and stakeholders to put an end to Israeli Occupation violations in East Jerusalem.

His Majesty emphasized the importance of the Israeli Occupation stopping its illegal measures to displace the people of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, rejecting their attempts to change the demographic in East Jerusalem.

For over two weeks, the neighborhood has witnessed violent confrontations with the IOF as residents protest to keep the homes they are being forced to illegally vacate.

Notably, the Palestine Red Crescent Society said Saturday that about 180 citizens were wounded, of varying degrees, after Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque's courtyard, attacked worshipers, and suppressed sit-ins in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Occupied East Jerusalem.
