Approximately 29,000 people in Aqaba have received the COVID-19 vaccine since the start of the local coronavirus vaccination campaign in April, according to Aqaba's Health Affairs Director Saeb Hiyasat Tuesday.

In a press statement, Hiyasat said Aqaba recorded the lowest daily positive PCR test rate Monday in comparison to other cities with only 25 percent of tests coming back positive out of a total of 1,569.
