Sunday, a specialized medical team led by neurosurgeon Assem al-Btoush performed a brain hemorrhage removal operation for a nine-month-old at the Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II Hospital in Aqaba.

Btoush said the child was suffering from high intracranial pressure, and that clinical and radiological examinations indicated that there was significant bleeding around the brain.

The director of Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II Hospital Majed al-Sarayrah said the child is in stable condition. He added that the hospital has a surgical team specialized in treating brain and spine injuries as a result of falls and traffic accidents, who are ready to operate '24 hours a day, seven days a week.'
