Jordanians are waiting for the Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh to announce an official holiday in October, on the occasion of Al Mawlid al-Nabawi al-Sharif, Prophet Muhammad's birthday.

Tuesday, Oct. 19, marks the birthday of the Prophet, and it is declared an official holiday every year.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister is set to issue an official statement declaring the suspension of work in ministries, official departments, institutions, public bodies, and the private sector.

Establishments whose nature of work requires them to operate are excluded from the holiday.
