The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stressed Saturday the need to take urgent and effective steps to stop the dangerous escalation, in which the lives of "Palestinian and Israeli civilians have been claimed."

The ministry said in a statement that Jordan condemns the attack that targeted civilians in East Jerusalem, as well as the acts of violence targeting civilians in the occupied Palestinian territories, adding that Jordan condemns violence against civilians in all its forms.

Friday, eight Israeli Occupation settlers were killed and others were injured in a shooting attack in the Nabi Yaqoub settlement in occupied Jerusalem, according to Roya's correspondent. This came a day after 10 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in Jenin.
