Sunday, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) raided an elementary school in the village of Al-Khader in Bethlehem in an attempt to arrest a student, as reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

The Director of Education in Bethlehem Bassam Jabr said that the IOF came into the Martyr Saeed Al-Aas Primary School for Boys in the West Bank to arrest a child, spreading fear among students.

He said the school’s principal and other employees refused to hand over the child.

Jabr added that the IOF threatened the school with punitive measures and "for no reason."

The school is near an Israeli Occupation checkpoint and is a frequent target of assaults by the IOF.
