Avigdor Lieberman, Former Minister of “Defense” in the Israeli Occupation government, has warned that a long-term ceasefire agreement without reaching the goals of the current aggression against the Gaza Strip would mean “victory” for Hamas.

"A long-term ceasefire without meeting the goals of the [aggression] will mean a victory of Hamas and the continuation of Yahya Sinwar's regime - something which will critically harm [Israeli Occupation] deterrence,” Lieberman added.

"No resident of the south or north will return to his home. We must not agree to this. We must defeat [Hamas], we must win.”

Lieberman, the leader of the 'Israel Our Home' party, also called for eliminating all Hamas leaders, saying that “not one of them should die a natural death,” in addition to “throwing Hezbollah back behind the Litani River.”

Hamas informed the mediators of their approval to extend the truce for four more days, although no official announcement of the extension has been made, as reported by the French news agency AFP on Wednesday. The current truce ends at 7:00 am Thursday local time.
