British maritime security firm “Ambrey” stated that a container ship was targeted southeast of Aden, Yemen and was hit by two explosions, one of which was remote-controlled.

Ambrey, on Monday, added that a fire broke out on board the vessel, noting that there were no human casualties.

The British agency confirmed that it "has not been confirmed whether the ship was directly affected or damaged by nearby explosions," noting that the ship "was on its way from Singapore to Djibouti."

Since November 19, the Yemen’s Houthis have been carrying out attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea suspected of being associated with the Israeli Occupation or heading to its ports in response to the aggression against Gaza.
