Thirteen individuals who took part in protests near the Israeli Occupation embassy in Amman were referred to Amman Public Prosecutor, responding to widespread calls to demonstrate against the Israeli Occupation's aggression in Gaza.

Lawyer Malik Al-Tahrawi from the Public Liberties Committee of the Bar Association revealed that the Amman Public Prosecutor released the detainees without charges of arrest, but they were charged with illegal assembly and disrupting public order.

However, they were later subject to administrative detention for one week under the Crime Prevention Law, following a decision by the capital's governor.

This brings the total number of those detained to 23 under the same law.

The protests near the embassy, along with those at Kalouti Mosque in Amman, have seen increased solidarity activities condemning the ongoing Israeli Occupation violations in Gaza.
