Man drowns in King Abdullah Canal in northern Jordan Valley

A man in his forties lost his life in a drowning incident at the King Abdullah Canal in the Wadi Al-Rayyan area of the Northern Jordan Valley.

Dr. Muayad Al-Shakoor, the director of Abu Ubaida Al-Jarrah Hospital, mentioned that the individual received medical attention from civil defense teams after being rescued from the canal and transported to the ambulance and emergency department.

Al-Shakoor stated that despite efforts, the man passed away before reaching the hospital, as reported by the Jordanian News Agency, Petra.

The deceased's body was subsequently taken to the Forensic Medicine Center for the Northern Region.
