US President Joe Biden expressed, on Friday evening, his empathy and sorrow regarding the ongoing Israeli Occupation aggression in Gaza and its impact on Arab Americans.

He announced plans to bolster humanitarian aid and voiced support for initiatives aimed at halting the violence.

In a statement released by the White House commemorating Arab American Heritage Month, Biden emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza lasting at least six weeks. The United States pledged to facilitate the release of Israeli Occupation captives and enhance humanitarian conditions in the region.

Biden highlighted the unfortunate reality of hate crimes against Arab Americans in the US, citing recent incidents of violence against individuals of Palestinian descent.

Many Muslims and Arabs in the US have urged Biden to take stronger action to end the violence and safeguard civilians in Gaza, including halting arms sales to Israeli Occupation.

Despite reports of tensions between the Biden administration and Tel Aviv over the prolonged Gaza aggression spanning 176 days, new shipments of bombs, missiles, and military equipment were announced to be sent to Israeli Occupation in recent days.

Notably, the Biden administration has issued statements marking Arab American Heritage Month since 2021, with this year's statements including a call to cease violence in Gaza.
