The Israeli Occupation War Cabinet expects Hamas to officially announce its rejection of the latest ceasefire deal - according to an “Israeli” official cited by “The Times of Israel”.

“Israeli leadership assumes that Hamas will officially reject the latest offer for a hostage deal,” said the official, adding that the War Cabinet is already discussing such a scenario in addition to a potential start to the looming invasion in the border city of Rafah.

The Wall Street Journal, citing Arab negotiators, said that Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, believes he can survive an incursion by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) into Rafah.

“Sinwar is expected to reject any deal that doesn’t include a credible path to ending the war,” according to the WSJ.

Arab mediators also said that Sinwar “believes that he has already won the war, whether he survives it or doesn’t, by opening the world’s eyes to the suffering of Palestinians and bringing the conflict to the forefront of global affairs.”
