President Joe Biden informed “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a phone call on Thursday, that the continuation of US support for the aggression against the Gaza Strip depends on the “Israeli” measures to protect civilians, urging him to empower his negotiators to conclude a prisoner exchange deal.

Sources told Axios that the phone call was “tense and challenging” and lasted more than 30 minutes.

Biden called for a “series of specific, tangible, and measurable steps to address the harm to civilians, humanitarian suffering, and the safety of relief workers," according to a statement from the White House.

"If we don't see the changes we need to see [In Israel’s policy], there will be a change in our policy", US Secretary of State Antony Blinken following the phone call.
