Poland said Friday that it had demanded a "criminal inquiry" by the Israeli Occupation after what it called the "murder" of seven aid workers of the charity organization World Central Kitchen (WCK), including a Polish citizen, in an airstrike that targeted their vehicle in Gaza last Monday.

"We want [Polish] prosecutors to be added and implicated in the explanations and in the entire criminal and disciplinary procedure for the soldiers responsible for this... murder," Polish deputy foreign minister Andrzej Szejna added after the “Israeli” envoy to Warsaw was summoned and issued a formal protest over the strike that killed the WCK workers.

Poland's Deputy Foreign Minister, Andrzej Szejna, had summoned the “Israeli” ambassador earlier on Wednesday for talks over the death of a Polish aid worker.

“I want to talk to the ambassador about the new situation in Polish-Israeli relations and about the moral, political and financial responsibility for the event that recently took place in the Gaza Strip,” Szejna told the Polish state news agency PAP previously.
