The United States voiced its opposition to any large-scale military operation in Rafah, located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, according to reports from the French news agency AFP.

Washington conveyed its concerns to Tel Aviv regarding the potential impact on civilians if such an operation were to occur, emphasizing the need for Israeli Occupation to devise a plan to safeguard Palestinian civilians in Rafah, where approximately 1.5 million displaced Palestinians reside.

Meanwhile, Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced plans to launch an offensive in Rafah, although he did not specify a date.

Netanyahu reiterated that achieving victory over Hamas necessitates entering Rafah and eliminating the threat posed by the group.
