The Jordanian Armed Forces conducted an extensive airdrop operation over the Gaza Strip on the first day of Eid al-Fitr, delivering relief aid to the area.

A source said Wednesday's operation involved 13 aircraft, loaded with essential supplies including food, clothing, and relief items.

This marks the 260th airdrop by the Jordanian Armed Forces since the commencement of Israeli Occupation aggression against Gaza, including 77 airdrops conducted solely by Jordan. Additionally, Jordan is preparing to dispatch a second substantial ground aid convoy comprising approximately 100 trucks to Gaza.

Over the past week, the frequency of airdrops, involving 10 or more aircraft, has increased as part of ongoing support efforts for Gaza. Wednesday, the Jordanian Armed Forces executed their largest airdrop operation to date, involving 14 aircraft with broad international participation. The aid included various items such as food, clothing, sweets, and toys, distributed across locations in both the northern and southern regions of Gaza to coincide with the celebrations of Eid al-Fitr.

The Armed Forces affirm Jordan's commitment to supporting Gaza, following royal directives, and pledge continued solidarity with the Palestinian people. This support encompasses various methods, including the dispatch of humanitarian and medical aid through air bridges from Marka Airport to Al-Arish International Airport, as well as through airdrops and ground convoys, reflecting the enduring cooperation and solidarity between the two nations.
