The Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) are sending 100 new aid trucks to Gaza for the second day of Eid al-Fitr.

Fifty trucks will pass through the King Hussein Bridge, and another fifty will go through the Sheikh Hussein Bridge, in preparation for transporting the aid to Gaza.

This convoy, comprising diverse foodstuffs such as flour and ready-to-eat meals, is made possible through collective efforts and generous donations from those showing boundless solidarity with the people of Gaza during these challenging times, including the French Embassy, the Tharwa Foundation, the Qatari Red Crescent, and the World Food Programme (WFP).

Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, the Secretary-General of JHCO, affirmed that the donations will be distributed in cooperation with partner associations and organizations operating on the ground in Gaza to ensure that aid reaches those in need optimally.

“Jordan works day and night to deliver aid by land and air, and efforts will continue to support the Palestinian people in Gaza,” Al-Shibli added.

With this convoy, the total number of trucks sent to Gaza has reached 887.

Al-Shibli highlighted that Jordan continues to provide support and assistance in the current circumstances, hoping that these aids will alleviate the pressures on Gaza's residents and enhance food security in the sector during these difficult times.
